'Survivor's' Latest Victim Wasn't Fan of the Show

The latest person booted from "Survivor: Africa" had never watched an episode of the series when she was picked to be a contestant.

"I was never a 'Survivor' fan," Jessie Camacho tells "The Early Show."

It was her sister that gave her an application to take part, and who helped with her video, which showed the 27-year-old deputy sheriff getting ready for work. Camacho says it was only after she was chosen for the series that she watched any of it -- a few episodes from the second edition of the show.

However, Camacho thinks it was being sick, rather than lack of knowledge about the show, that led to her being voted off.

"I was only sick for four days. The last two days, I started to feel a bit better," she says. "Obviously by then it was too late."

Even though she was recovering from being sick, Camacho says she had no problem with the latest immunity challenge, which had contestants drinking fresh cow's blood.

"It actually tasted pretty good," she says.

With her part on the series over, the attractive Camacho, who was a fan favorite even in her short tenure, says she is leaving her future options open. She is taking leave from her Sheriff's job until next year.
